Vision & Mission
Statement
The Diablo
International Resource Center was founded in 1981 for the purpose of informing the local public and private
schools of current national and international
issues.
The focus is a public
forum for information and discussion of
international events. Speakers are chosen for their knowledge and expertise in specific topics relating to
national and international issues. A video
record of the session is available to both the public and schools. The lecture series is held once in the spring and
again in the fall, during the academic year. Each series includes a
lecture once a week for six weeks, the two hour evening forum is open to the public. The principal
direction is to maintain an understanding of
the need to have an informed public of current issues. The Diablo International Resource Center is under the auspices of the
Acalanes Adult Education of the Acalanes
School District.
